Getting Digital Signage Video to Play Sound
To play sound with your videos, it is simply a matter of cabling the computer to the tv screen properly. You also have the option of adding background music to the signage as well by going to the your account / preferences / background music menu area.
If Not Hearing Audio on your Digital Signage
If you are not hearing the sound, then there are a couple possible issues. Although it talks about having an ipod or other input device as background music, the cabling portions of this document will be helpful to you.
- the volume level is set too low on the pc. Adjust the volume level by clicking on the little speaker icon in the lower right side of the screen.
- The volume of the TV is too low. Use your remote control or on-screen volume controls to increase the volume.
- The speaker out of the computer (usually green in color) is not connected to the input of your tv. If you are using a VGA or DVI video connector, also connect a 1/8″ to 1/8″ cable between the computer’s speaker out and the computer audio input of the screen.
If you are using a video extender, be sure that it has the ability to transmit sound as well as the video signal. If you have our pc-2-tv.net product, it comes with all the cables that you need to do video and audio.
