The news that Harris Corporation is preparing to depart the digital out-of-home market was not entirely unexpected, and nor despite the headlines it has attracted is it terribly significant in the long term for the market as a whole – except, of course, for all those folk working for the company’s Broadcast Communications division, now on the block, and perhaps for other providers of managed digital signage services who will have their eyes on the 7-Eleven TV network that Harris handles..
