Industrial Distributors Use Digital Signage to Promote Products at their Service Counters

One of the first StrandVision Digital Signage installations that we had, more than 10 years ago, was for an industrial distributor. It’s an application that’s ready-made for digital signage. These guys have lots of tradespeople come in over the course of the day who are qualified customers or they wouldn’t be there. They trust the information source (or they wouldn’t be there), they’re positioned in a specific place (the service counter) and they have to wait for service of part retrieval. They have idle time to look at the digital signage, which can be used to make them aware of additional product offerings, financing, store hours and other information. The digital signage can also help them remember a forgotten item or cross-sell additional items. Industrial distributors are a natural fit for digital signage.
