Adding Big Data to Your Digital Signage

“Big Data” is all the rage these days. Essentially Big Data is able to gather and process massive amounts of information in order to “discover” trends and information that are not apparent in smaller data sets. The benefit comes from extracting and sharing the information so it can be used – this can be for basic research, marketing purposes or for operational improvement.

Admittedly, much of the resulting data is pretty complex but some of it may be perfect for digital signage displays – information such as targeted ads, inventory, business trends, or other information. StrandVision Digital Signage provides ways to easily access this information by looking at the data output. We have simple file monitors for smaller data and also have lots of experience working with IT to develop file sharing links that monitor large data set output.
