Recently, we installed a StrandVision Digital Signage system at customer location. As part of the installation, we installed a well-known brand of plasma screen. Everything went well and the customer is very happy with the system.
After a few months, they decided that they would be adding screens to other locations. During our conversation, we discussed the usual information about screen selection and installation.
We learned that the manufacturer of the plasma screen we installed has another division that sells products which compete with our customer's products. Fortunately, it didn't end up to be a huge problem for this installation. However, we will be installing another brand of screens at the customer's other locations.
The moral of the story is that one should always ask if there are any screen brands they would like to use and brands that they wouldn't like to use.
