Creating New Account Users

As the owner of your digital signage account, you can give access to additional staff within your organization. It's easy. Here's how you do it…

To begin creating additional user names for your staff, simply log into your StrandVision account with your USER ID and PASSWORD.

It is best if the new user is with you to enter their own security information. They can change what you assign them if they are not available.

Then follow these steps:

  • Highlight over Your Account and click on Manage Users
  • Select "Add/Edit User Accounts" (left side menu).
  • Scroll all the way to the bottom to the "Create a New User" section.
  • Enter the new person's name, email address and phone number. Their email address will be their username unless it is already used.
  • Select MODE - either "Administrator User" or "Edit Only User."
    • Administrators can manage your entire account
    • Edit Only Users can only manage signage content.
  • Choose DISPLAY GROUP. Here's where you assign the specific group of screens that the user will be able to administer and edit. If you only have one screen on your account, the default is fine.
  • Create a password for them and confirm it.
  • Create a secret question and answer for them.
  • Select the ADD button.

You will notice that there is a new listing for the user name you just created that lists the Display Group that this user can access, the MODE for this user and their email address. The system has also sent them an email with their login information.

If you want to specify the types of emails that they will receive (the default is that they receive all types):

  • click on "Configure Emails" (left side menu).
  • Find their email address on the list.
  • Select the DIRECTED EMAILS and the GENERAL MESSAGE TYPES that you want this user to receive.
  • Click the "Save Types" button.

That does it! You've finished the process of adding a new user to your StrandVision Digital Signage account. They can now log in and edit the signage pages for the display group that you specified.

To change your own password:

  • Highlight over Your Account and click on Manage Users
  • Select "My Contact Info" (left side menu).
  • Enter and confirm your new password.
  • If you have an email address assigned to your account, an email is sent to let you know that the password was changed.
