How StrandVision License Checking Works

StrandVision has completed additional license validation to keep you and your signage content protected even more. Here are a few tips to keep your signage running smoothly.

The additional validation is related to the time that the signage is playing and also how many screens are active at a time. All checking is based on a week beginning Monday morning at midnight. Here are some key points.

All Accounts

• Tracking is based on the number of 5 consecutive minutes played. Playing for 4 minutes and stopping is not counted.
• Players running for less than 4 hours per week are allowed.
• Players inactive for 15 minutes or longer release the license to other players.
• License problem appears if more than the licensed player count is detected.
• License problem is removed once license is available.

Web Players and Email a Friend

• StrandVision Advertisements show up always.
• No limits to the playback time while subscription is active.

Free Users

• StrandVision Advertisements show up always.
• The account stops playing after the time is reached.

Resellers

• No StrandVision Advertisements initially.
• StrandVision Advertisements show up after the weekly hours is exceeded.
• The account stops playing after the time is reached.

Paid Users

• No StrandVision Advertisements initially.
• StrandVision Advertisements show up after the weekly hours is exceeded.
• The account continues playing after the time is reached.
