It seems that more and more things demand our time each day. Since electronic signage impacts so many people, ensuring that your visitor and employee communication systems are working properly is an important part of those demands. Your StrandVision signage has several capabilities built in to let you know if there are issues with it – so you don’t have to spend time wondering if the digital signage is working.
Your StrandVision digital media player is designed to work hard to keep playing your signage content all the time. When working properly, it is constantly communicating with the StrandVision server cloud using patented technology to get any changes you make to the content. If the communication gets interrupted, you probably will not notice, but the system will attempt several methods to recover the communication. In the unlikely event that the connection cannot be restored (usually due to a Windows update or network firewall change), the server cloud will email (or text message) all technical contacts that are setup for your account with the issue and possible solutions. If there are no technical contacts, the administrators will get the notification.
The StrandVision system also has the ability to restart the digital media player on a scheduled basis to help maintain the system’s health. The Automatic Player Reboot field can be configured to handle it automatically, disable the feature entirely or set a specific time period. To change the setting, sign in to your StrandVision account and click on Your Account, Preferences and in the Intermediate or higher user mode, change the setting as desired.
