Most of us have the habit of saying little white lies about our time: "I'll be right there." "Just a minute." "It'll be done in a few minutes."
We underestimate the time we need and over promise the time we have. Hofstadter's Law says "any task you're planning to complete will always take longer than expected - even when this law is taken into account."
To be more accurate in time estimates: take deadlines seriously - especially when making new ones, don't double (or triple) book your time and don't let others interrupt time that is already allocated to a project.
How busy you are at work can fluctuate a lot from job to job and week to week.
When you get overworked you need to find a balance between the projects on your plate by prioritizing.
It is different in every case, but make sure to weigh the pros and cons of one project being completed or not completed compared to the others.
Stay organized. Write down all tests and assignments, schedule time for studying, and keep different subjects separate to help improve time management.
Contrary to what many people do, finish the hard stuff first. That way it gets done and the easy stuff will seem like less of a burden to complete later.
Another very important study habit is to not study...all the time. Make sure you save time to relax and socialize with friends. Sleep is important, so make sure to plan for it.
