If you have ever seen the Night Mode symbol bouncing around your screen, you may have wondered what it is. It's the StrandVision player night mode that is specially designed to reduce screen burn-in. The system ensures that each pixel of the screen is flexed during the off-hours to gradually eliminate any burn-in that may result from the showing of your digital signage, especially signage that includes a lot of repetitive templates. If you run a Basic, reseller or a trial version package, your signage will stop once your account has reached the playback time limit. The "How to Set Business Hours" section below lets you adjust your viewing times to keep it playing.
If you have purchased a Streaming video or higher package, you can set your business hours to 24 x 7 playback (midnight to midnight for all seven days of the week) with no license issues, but screen burn-in could still be a problem.
To keep images from burning in on your screen you should consider setting the system go into night mode for at least two hours per day.
